About this blog

Since I was a little boy, I have loved air and space. Whether staying home from school to watch space missions, building enough model airplanes and rockets to comprise the free world’s second largest air force, studying aero/astro engineering at MIT, serving as a flight test engineer and office in the US Air Force, flight testing the V-22 Osprey, proposing to my future wife in an airplane, becoming a 1000-hour general aviation pilot or writing books about aviation, reaching for the sky has been a constant feature in my life.

Ad Inexplorata” means “Towards the Unknown” in Latin. It’s the motto of the Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards AFB, which was my assignment in the US Air Force, and a fitting title for my blog.
