First flight for Solar Impulse 2

Solar Impulse 2, the solar aircraft from the team of Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg, completed its first flight on June 2, departing from the Payerne aerodrome in Switzerland. The pilot was Marcus Scherdel.

If all goes according to plan, Solar Impulse 2 will attempt the first non-stop solar-powered flight around the world in 2015.
